Colloidal Minerals Supplement

Is Serovital-HGH safe to take?

Many of you have been asking about a product called Serovital-HGH. This is another in a long line of so called “HGH” formulas. HGH or Human Growth hormone, is a highly regulated pharmaceutical and these products contain NO Human Growth Hormone whatsoever. Vitamin D Deficiency

Vitamin D Deficiency, too much of a good thing is rarely a good thing! A new study concerning the high doses of vitamin D being prescribed in the last decade or so verifies that these excessive doses are actually contributing to weaker bones, leading to increased fractures. I have often said that if a person lives long enough you get vindicated. Back in the 1970’ and 80’s I was recommending 600 to 800 IU of vitamin D for most women. At the time this was considered very excessive and I was criticized for “poisoning” people. At that time 400 IU was considered the upper safe limit.

In the last decade or so medical doctors have been prescribing upwards of 10,000 to even as much as 50,000 IUs of vitamin D weekly. Worse yet the vitamin D they use is the synthetic variety! Now we are beginning to see the negative effects of this extreme. Moderation is always the key when it comes to bodily wellness. I am still recommending the same amount of vitamin D today as I was 30+ years ago because that amount is based in sound science. Taking 400 IU of vitamin D will meet the needs of most people. In cases where therapeutic doses might be helpful I would go to 800 or perhaps even 1000 IU. Once again medicine is following their extreme philosophies and over-doing a good thing. If you have a medical condition by all means see a medical doctor but if you have a nutrition issue see a nutritionist, preferably one who embraces orthomolecular science. What are the Symptoms of Osteoporosis & Bone Loss?

Since the month of May is also osteoporosis awareness, it is a great opportunity to discuss this condition and offer hope that there are natural ways of preventing bone loss. At the heart of osteoporosis of course is a lack of calcium. Medicine has several osteoporosis treatments through the use of pharmaceuticals, but most of these have potentially annoying and possibly serious side effects. It’s much better to nourish our bones so that they do not become honeycombed and brittle in the first place. While many professionals don’t fully agree on the cause of osteoporosis we can all agree that a lack of calcium or more importantly a lack of absorption of calcium is at the heart of the problem. Eliminating Toenail Fungus

There are many nail fungus treatments available. Some of them over the counter and stronger ones available by prescription only. Many of these nail fungus medications can have side effects even though they are often applied locally or topically.
